Prof. Maślińska is a member of the EULAR Education Committee and the ReCONNET European Reference Network, with particular involvement in working groups dedicated to Sjögren’s disease and IgG4-related disease. She currently serves on the Board of the Polish Society of Rheumatology and is also a member of the Union of Polish Medical Writers (UPPL).
She is Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Reumatologia (2025 Impact Factor: 2.5) and a member of the Editorial Boards of The Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology (MJR) and the Journal of Mosaic of Autoimmunity. Prof. Maślińska also serves as an editor for Rheumatology International and for special issues of Frontiers in Medicine and Frontiers in Immunology.
Her scientific output includes more than 90 publications, articles, and book chapters.
Prof. Maślińska has extensive experience in medical education and has lectured as part of postgraduate programmes and courses for the CMKP Doctoral School, the Medical University of Warsaw Doctoral School, as well as seminars for rheumatologists, general practitioners, and medical students, in both Polish and English. She has also been a speaker at numerous national and international scientific conferences.
She completed fellowships at the Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases, Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv and the Department of Autoimmune Diseases, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. She has presented her research at numerous Polish and international conferences, including meetings in Florence, Ljubljana, Leipzig, Zagreb, and Venice.
Prof. Maślińska supervises medical specialty training in rheumatology and has served as co-supervisor of four doctoral theses, as well as a doctoral thesis at the Medical University of Warsaw Doctoral School.
Her research activities include both non-commercial and commercial projects. These include a National Science Centre (NCN) grant entitled “The influence of B lymphocytes on the clinical presentation of primary Sjögren’s disease – immunohistochemical and serological assessment of cytokine profiles regulating the activity of these cells”, as well as statutory research projects at NIGRiR focused on the immunological and clinical aspects of Sjögren’s disease, systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and spondyloarthropathies. In 2022, Prof. Maślińska was awarded a competitive grant from the Medical Research Agency (ABM).
She is the academic supervisor of the Rheumaticus Student Scientific Association at the Medical University of Warsaw and the Rheumatology Student Scientific Association at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University.
Awards and distinctions: Silver Cross of Merit; Third-Degree Team Award of the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw for scientific achievements in research on the pathomechanisms of inflammation; and the TOP of the TOP Award of the Polish Society of Rheumatology for contributions to the development of the scientific journal.
